I'm a resident of New Braunfels, Texas. I have the education and experience to be an enthusiastic, compassionate, and intelligent tutor. I have an associate's degree in liberal arts from St. Philip's College and a bachelor's degree in general studies from West Texas A&M University. I have teaching certifications for Special Education EC-12, Generalist 4-8, and my ESL Supplement. I have taught middle school children for two years and homeschooled students for five. Most recently, I taught sixth through eighth grades in an adaptive behavior classroom. My students, who had emotional and behavioral disorders, had been placed in a confined setting. I was able to help all of my students grow and learn through being supportive, consistent, and by building positive relationships. I am available to tutor a variety of subjects at the elementary and middle school levels, such as reading, writing, phonics, grammar and mechanics, handwriting, math, and science. I can help students with study skills and organization, essay writing and editing, and preparing for tests. I am also willing to work with homeschooled students.In my spare time, I am interested in reading, writing, yoga, walking, aerobics, child development, electronics, personal computers, and software.
